2027 Nissan Rogue in Kansas City: Features, Technology, & What to Expect
You’ll soon be able to see and test-drive the new 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid e-POWER at the Dream Nissan Kansas City dealership! The Rogue Hybrid SR AWD with SR Technology Package will reach your Kansas City dealership in fall of 2026, while the Hybrid SV, SR and Platinum will be available in early 2027.
With the ever-increasing competitiveness in the compact crossover niche, Nissan responded by moving its planned release of its 2027 Rogue hybrid up from mid-2027. This compact SUV is poised to dominate, with its innovative approach to both propulsion and design.
The gas-only version of the 2027 Rogue won’t be coming out until mid-2027, and there aren’t many details yet available on it. But this third-generation Hybrid e-POWER brings plenty to the table on its own, so that’s the vehicle we’ll focus on today.

Drivetrain
One of the major differences between Nissan’s Rogue e-POWER system and their competitors’ conventional hybrids is that the Rogue’s 1.5L turbocharged engine operates strictly as a generator – it never actually drives the wheels directly via a transmission. Instead, the Rogue’s AWD propulsion comes entirely from dual electric motors, capable of delivering instantaneous e-vehicle torque and linear acceleration without any lag.
The Rogue’s e-Pedal and B-Mode Regenerative Braking is a refinement of the fully electric Nissan Ariya. Its one-pedal driving means you can accelerate, slow down, and come to a complete stop using nothing more than the accelerator pedal.
That will be a unique driving experience, and delivers some major advantages. For one thing, there’s no need for lengthy re-charging at special locations. No plugging this hybrid in to charge the lithium-ion battery – that’s handled by the gasoline engine and the regenerative braking. Because refueling is identical to that for a gas-only vehicle, range is no longer a consideration. Just find a standard service station and add gasoline to the tank.
Another major plus of the Rogue’s e-POWER technology is the smoother acceleration and deceleration. In city and suburban driving, the engine will only run occasionally, because the lower speeds’ demands on the battery are modest, while at sustained highway speeds, it will run more often.
You may be surprised to see that the 2027 Rogue e-POWER doesn’t have a traditional shifter. Instead, it has a P-R-N-D button integrated cleanly into the instrument panel, thus freeing up more usable space in the center console.
Efficiency
Mileage for the 2027 Rogue e-POWER is roughly 20% better than the traditional gas-only Rogue, estimated at 37 to 38 MPG on the highway, and 40 to 41 MPG city/urban driving. This means that city/urban drivers will enjoy some very substantial savings.
What Are the Standard Features?
All three trim levels of the 2027 Rogue e-POWER (SV, SR, & Platinum) will come with a comprehensive selection of standard features, addressing safety, comfort, and performance.
- They will all have the e-Power Powertrain and AWD, a dual-motor system that will provide a combined 225 hp, via Nissan’s Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, with one electric motor on each axle.
- They’ll also include e-Pedal with Smooth Stop. That means that solely utilizing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle can be slowed to a smooth stop, while employing regenerative braking to both slow the vehicle and help keep the battery charged.
- There is also an upgraded tech layout, with two 12.3-inch digital displays – one for the digital instrument cluster and the other for the infotainment touchscreen.
- Also included in all three trims is the ProPILOT Assist Safety Suite, with adaptive cruise control and lane centering, as well as blind-spot warning/intervention, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking, and driver attention monitor.
- Included also is Nissan’s Cold Weather Package, with front seats, steering wheel, and side mirrors being heated and a de-icer on the front windshield wiper.
- A Panoramic Moonroof is standard on all three trims, as is Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a 15-watt magnetic wireless charger
What Optional Features Are Offered?

- Upgrade to dual 14.3-inch digital displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment screens.
- Advanced ProPILOT Assist, with Hands-off Traffic Jam Support (this allows hands-off driving in highway gridlock below 50 km/hr) and Auto Lane Change (optional on the SR, but standard on the Platinum).
